Senior Thesis 2021

For my senior thesis, I merged my passion for illustration and design to create a distinctive set of overalls. A key focus for me was ensuring that the design could accommodate all body types, making the project a study in inclusive sizing rather than just a reflection of my personal fit. I aimed for the shapes and colors to inspire confidence and empowerment in anyone who wears them. As a queer woman, I also wanted to subtly incorporate elements of queer identity through the color choices. This collection is very close to my heart, and I would love to one day bring it to life while incorporating sustainable materials and practices.

The Twist Table

The twist table has been an important part of my journey as a woodworker. As my first big woodworking project, I dreamed big and dove right in. Within this project I gained experience with chainsaws, chop saws, bandsaws, hand planing, sanding, stack lamination, and more. This project was halted in 2021 by the pandemic. The stack lamination process was an incredibly hard technique to take on as a newbie to wood working and has pushed me to think differently about my design. While the outcome is now leaning towards a slim tapered leg, I am proud of the work I put into the original design and am eager to find other ways of displaying the legs as their own art piece.
